Lorewell keeps a campaign for you: it writes recaps from your sessions, preps the next one, checks the rules and draws your world. These are the promises it makes about your world and your table, and how each one is kept. You run the game; Lorewell never does.
Our promises
- Your world stays yours. Lorewell proposes changes; you decide. Nothing becomes part of your campaign until you approve it, and an approved change can be undone. Lorewell's agent can read your approved campaign but can't write to it.
- Nobody trains on your campaign or your table's voices. Lorewell uses Anthropic's commercial API, whose terms don't allow training on customer content. Every recording is opted out of Deepgram's model improvement programme, and drawings use Google's paid tier, where prompts aren't used to improve its products. Usage analytics and error reports are stripped of campaign text. Who handles your data
- Everyone at the table agrees before you record. Lorewell won't start a recording or accept an uploaded one until you confirm that everyone at the table has agreed to be recorded.
- Audio is deleted after transcription. By default a recording is deleted as soon as it's transcribed. You can choose to keep recordings for 30 days in a campaign's settings; they're deleted automatically after that. Privacy
- Campaigns and accounts delete completely. Deleting a campaign (in its settings) or your account removes everything: pages, sessions, recordings, transcripts, pictures, maps and chats, from Lorewell and from the services that store them for Lorewell. Deleting your account also cancels your subscription straight away.
- Everything is exportable. A campaign's settings let you download it as Markdown files with its pictures and maps, ready for Obsidian or any text editor, and separately its transcripts and recap history.
- Every picture or map Lorewell draws says so. Drawings carry a “Drawn by Lorewell” label wherever they're shown. Pictures and maps you upload don't.
- Every recap change cites the session. Each change a recap proposes shows the line from your transcript or notes that it's based on, so you can check it before you approve it.
